I. Head cleaning after the weekend _UV Printer Monday Head Cleaning
1. Office temperature and equipment power _UV Printer Monday Head Cleaning
ARTJET UV Printer ink storage temperature is between 5 and 25 degrees. It is indicated on the ink bottle.
The office temperature is set to 18 degrees before leaving work, and 22 degrees when arriving at work.
As soon as I arrive at work, I raise the office temperature from 18 degrees to 22 degrees, turn on the equipment, and connect to the ARTJET software.
After connecting to the software, the stir device starts to rotate in the Main ink bottle after a while.
There is an stir device in all the ink bottles, CMYK Lc Lm, White two bottles, Varnish one bottle.
Then I connect the power and wait for a while. (I also go to the bathroom and drink coffee,,)
2. White Ink Load _UV Printer Monday Head Cleaning
Color and Varnish are cleaned or ink loaded only when the nozzle condition is not good.
However, white needs to be pumped out of the ink tube and damper after the weekend.
In the main ink tank, white is stirred with a stir device to remix the separated ink,
but the white ink in the ink tube and damper does not circulate or have a stirring device, so the heavy pigment sinks to the bottom, leaving only the light white on top.
If you do not remove the separated white ink by pumping and only clean it and print, only the light white on top will be printed, so the white concentration will be low.
As shown on the left in the photo below, the white concentration decreases and the overall color will sink.

Inkload should be held for at least 10 seconds from the point when white ink starts to come out of the waste ink tank, so that the separated white ink comes out of both the ink tube and the damper.
3. Cleaning and Nozzle Testing _UV Printer Monday Head Cleaning
You must clean it after pumping.
he is using it very well now, but not long after the 1st ARTJET installation,
“The color is strange at the beginning of printing, but as it progresses, the correct color comes out.”
When I went to see it in person, it was an incident where the printing was done without cleaning after pumping.
After cleaning, you must also clean the black Wiper blade that cleans the bottom of the head with a cloth.
After that, click the “TEST” button to perform a nozzle test.
If the white nozzle did not come off badly after one or two cleanings, do not continue cleaning and proceed with printing the TEST image.
4. Test Image Printing _UV Printer Monday Head Cleaning
The print mode is double direction, Quality mode.
White is printed on the entire front, Color is printed as the image file, and Varnish is printed as a spot.
The white nozzle status may improve jetting performance as it is printed, or nozzles that were not coming out may come out.
For this reason, if white does not come out much after cleaning, perform a test print to stabilize the white nozzle status.
Check through the image whether there are any missing nozzles or diagonal spraying of Color.
Most Varnish nozzles are in good condition, and even if they come out a lot, it does not affect the print quality, so the check is completed with just one print.
5. Again Nozzle Test _ UV Printer Monday Head Cleaning
If you do a nozzle test after printing is finished,
- the rough nozzles will become clean,
- and the nozzles that were not coming out will come out a little more.
- If you clean them once or twice and do a nozzle test, most of them will be fine.

1. Smooth Pumping _UV Printer Monday Head Cleaning
Pumping must work smoothly to achieve good nozzle condition as explained above.

If the peristaltic pump tube (yellow tube) is old, ink load will not be smooth.
It is recommended to replace the white peristaltic pump tube once every 3 months.

2. Damper replace _UV Printer Monday Head Cleaning
If the ink load and cleaning are good, but the white in a specific channel is not working well, the damper needs to be replaced.
The damper not only supplies ink to the head properly, but also acts as a filter to filter out ink residue or fine air bubbles.
If the pumping is good, but the nozzle is difficult to recover, the damper’s filter function is not working properly, so the damper needs to be replaced.
