ARTJET UV Printer Application 24 _ UV Print with Zig
ARTJET UV Printer has been sold in Korea for 4 years, and we are organizing the printer problems we have encountered so far, their causes, and their solutions.
We have compiled 10 different print head problems and 17 ink supply problems, and you can find detailed information at the site below.

Today, I’m going to talk about some things to keep in mind when printing round steel materials using a jig.

I. How to Match Zig and Print Sizes
1. Laser cutting equipment Zig manufacturing
If you ask a specialized zig manufacturer, I think there will be no size errors.
However, when making a zig using your own laser cutting equipment, you should check whether the zig is made exactly according to the cutting file file.
Is it not a rectangle, but a rhombus?
* Does the X-axis of the laser cutting machine move exactly horizontally?
* Does the Y-axis also move exactly vertically?
Are the X-axis and Y-axis cutting lengths exactly the same as the cutting file values?
* Is the X-axis or Y-axis cutting length too short or too long?
2. Printing via UV Printer Zig
Is it right angle or not? You don’t have to be suspicious of UV Printer.
If you align the entire zig based on the white ink line printed on the flatbed, it will be printed while maintaining a right angle until the end.
However, you should check the X-axis and Y-axis printing length.
In the case of the X-axis, there is not a large error range if you read the linear scale, but if the length is long, it is also possible.
In 720 x 1080 dpi, that 720 dpi may be 720.02 dpi.
It is too detailed to explain, but if you are just curious about the DPI concept itself, refer to the following.
3. Laser zig + UV printing realistic matching method
Laser cutting equipment
must keep the X-axis horizontal, and the Y-axis vertical, so that the X and Y-axis angles must be 90 degrees.
If the zig is made in a diamond shape rather than a rectangular shape, there is no way to match it during UV printing.
In UV Printer
Zigs made with laser cutting equipment may have horizontal and vertical alignment, but may have errors in width and height.
Also, you may not have performed size correction on your UV Printer.
If you perform size correction once, you can match the zig and UV printing.
II. Real UV printing via Zig
1. ARTJET size correction
“Team leader, I looked at the size correction method, but I don’t quite understand it.”
“Can you measure the error in mm of 300mm on the Y axis?”
“Wait a minute… I think it’s 0.7mm short.”
“Then it’s 299.3mm. In the box next to 300, enter 299.3 and click Confirm. The 1.0000 next to it will be calculated and automatically changed.”
“Oh, the number is changing.”
“CEO, the image you applied before doesn’t work. You have to load a new image and then the size will be corrected according to that number.”
Please see below for detailed size correction methods.

2. Anodized steel material
There are few UV inks that adhere well to anodized steel plates.
The CEO has many different types of pretreatment liquid and has found a good match through many trials and errors.
You need to find the right primer for iron or glass printing.
Otherwise, the ink peeling problem may occur after delivery.
3. The entire production process
You can refer to the article below written by the CEO for the entire production process.
Since it is provided in Korea market, hereunder is Korean. Please understand it.
That’s it for today.
