I. DTF Printer Price and Specifications
1. Specifications and price
Most DTF printers used two types of print heads, XP600 print head and i3200 print head, and now, i1600 print head seems to be used a lot.
In the beginning, XP600 print head, which was used a lot, had a problem where the internal pipe of the print head burst after about 2 months of use due to the chemical properties of DTF white ink.
For this reason, i3200 or i1600 print head seems to be used now.
2. Are they a manufacturer or a distributor?
In the table above, Company D and Company T seem to be manufacturers, and their prices were almost the same.
In the case of Company D, they seemed to have a lot of transaction experience, as they gave me the information I wanted organized in a table at once,
In the case of Company T, I received the price on the condition of purchasing 3 units at once, and I couldn’t understand why they were pushing me to purchase 3 units at once when internal verification had not been completed.
Company O received the relevant information via email from someone else.
The product photos in the email I received were mostly broken, so I searched for company information on Alibaba just in case.
The majority of them were consumables rather than equipment, and it was closer to a consumables distribution company than an equipment company.
The last price I know from a partner company was,
higher than other companies, but the same model was found on Alibaba, and it was cheaper than the price on Alibaba.
When choosing equipment in China, one of the most important things is to distinguish between a manufacturer and a distributor.
For this reason, I excluded Company O.
II. Reasons for giving up on group purchase of DTF printer
1. The principles of the group purchase I conducted
At the request of the representative who uses ARTJET UV Printer to promote group purchase,
I investigated several DTF printer suppliers, and rather than simply transferring Alibaba information, I organized the data by exchanging emails with all the people in charge.
Since I did not think about profit for the first group purchase (only a few percent commission), I proceeded with all prices open.
Since the prices were open, even if DTF printers were supplied again in the future, I tried to proceed with group purchase whenever necessary by adding only a certain margin.
2. Difference in perspective!!
For those who want to purchase equipment through group purchase, price is the top priority,
and from my perspective as someone who imports and takes responsibility for the equipment, the following are my top priorities:
* Is the company trustworthy?
* It is hard to expect a product manual, and is it possible to actively support the person in charge when a problem occurs or when a question is answered during the first installation?
* Will the person in charge respond responsibly when a problem occurs during use?
* Will the print quality be good?
* Is it a Rip that can make the ICC profile?
* Is the convenience of after-sales service okay when a printer problem occurs?
In other words, the top priority is whether the equipment is working properly, whether the quality is good, whether I can get smooth help, and whether the convenience of after-sales service is good. Even if the price is high, the top priority is to eliminate risks unconditionally.
3. Those who participated in group purchasing
Representatives who participated in the group purchase seemed to have considered cost-effectiveness first, assuming that ‘if a problem occurs, the importer (me) will do something about it!!’, and since this was my first time with this product, I prioritized ‘printing quality, product stability, and convenience of after-sales service’ over cost-effectiveness.
Because our perspectives were different, we gave up on the group purchase.
III. If you are purchasing a DTF printer now,
I think the first uploaded data will be helpful.
You can find out the price of equipment and consumables before importing,
and whether the distributor has set a reasonable price or is selling it at an excessive price?
Is it an i3200 or i1600 print head?
If you check just this much, you can greatly reduce the risk when purchasing equipment.
