HOW DOES PRINT HEAD JET INK

 

To put it simply, the principle of ink jetting from the print head is as follows:

• There are many holes in the print head.
• The holes are filled with ink, and the damper prevents the ink from flowing down.
• The inside of the hole is made of a thin tube, and the thin tube contracts and relaxes according to the electronic signal.
• When it contracts inward, the ink is “popped” out of the hole by the force.

 

Each print head has a set viscosity for jetting ink.

If the ink is higher or lower than the appropriate viscosity, when the thin tube contracts, the ink is not jetted neatly as a single drop,

but is separated into several drops, with the large droplets staying in place and the small droplets falling diagonally, that is, around the image.

Because of this, you should first consider the office temperature that affects the ink viscosity, as ink will fly around the image.

The ARTJET UV Printer should be kept between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius.

 

2. When print head cleaning is not done properly _UV Printer White is blown around the image

If the print head hole is not kept round and ink gets stuck around the nozzle hole and partially blocks the hole,
the ink that was coming out straight will be interfered with and fall to the side.
When interfered with, the ink droplets break and small dots fall around the image.

Static electricity is something that those who have used UV printers for a long time know.

In the 1.2mm gap between the material and the head, the ink jetting speed usually drops to 7 meters per second.
The X-axis feed speed of the print head carriage usually moves at 0.8 meters per second.
In the 1.2mm section, the speed at which ink drops fall is significantly high,
so the effect of the print head carriage speed on the ink jetting direction is extremely small.

However,
the static electricity generated in that section affects the falling ink drops.
Ink drops do not fall on the material due to static electricity, but fly around the head carriage, and suddenly fall on the material all at once,
and the flying ink can stick to the print head nozzle hole, partially blocking the nozzle or completely blocking it.
When partially blocked, it is the same as not cleaning properly,
and when the nozzle is completely blocked, ink does not jet from the blocked nozzle, creating line banding.
