Software turn off when click print button

Since there are people who have experienced the same problem so far, I’m organizing it as troubleshooting.

I. suddenly Software turn off when click print button? 

 

About 3 years ago, when we first received this issue, we were also confused, so let’s reproduce the situation at that time.

 

“Team leader, when I press the print button, the ARTJET software suddenly shuts down.”

“Is ripping normal?”

“Yes, ripping is normal.”

“Can you test if the ARTJET Test image prints normally?”

“The ARTJET Test file prints normally. Why is this file the same?”

“Was there anything different when creating the image file?”

“It’s an AI file, and I did the same work as before.”

“We still can’t figure out the cause. Please send the problematic file to KakaoTalk. We’ll test it with our demo equipment.”

“Okay, I understand.”

 

After testing,

“As soon as we press the print button, the ARTJET software shuts down. I’ll look into it more closely and get back to you.”

 

II. Files containing special characters _Software turn off when click print button   

1. Suddenly normal _Software turn off when click print button

The first time I ripped and printed the image file I received from the company, the same problem occurred,

The second time I changed some settings in Rip and saved it under the name Test 1 and then printed it.

The second print was printed normally.

 

2. First and second changes _Software turn off when click print button요

I changed the changes in Rip just in case there was something that didn’t seem to be a problem, and I didn’t understand why it was printed normally with this change.

‘Is it because of the @@ special character in the file name?’

I changed the settings in Rip as they were, and changed only the name to Test 1, and it printed normally.

The characters in the pictures below should not be used when specifying a file name.

3. “What kind of equipment doesn’t work with those characters?” _Software turn off when click print button 

I called the person in charge and asked about special characters, and the problem was solved right away.

“Oh, there are a lot of special characters.”

In the meantime, I heard someone talking next to me,,, “What kind of equipment,,,,”

You may think that way from a consumer’s perspective, but in the past, even equipment worth over 150 million won at large equipment development manufacturers could not use special characters.

Most people don’t,,,,,,

When I hear someone say this without knowing anything about digital equipment, especially UV printers,,, it makes me feel a little hurt.
