Today I’m going to show you what to do when your Anti crash sensor gets stuck in Captop.

 

I. Problem symptoms _When Anti crash sensor is jammed in the Captop

It seems like all sorts of problems can arise when using a printer.

One of them is when the anti-crash sensor becomes stuck on the captop.

• When initializing the software,
• without turning on the vacuum while the material is on the flatbed,
• Sometimes the head carriage checks each axis, and anti-crash sensor hits the material, causing the head carriage to stop where the captop is.
• At this point, the captop station doesn’t stop immediately after raising, so it presses the anti-crash sensor.

Because the anti-crash sensor is stuck on the captop, when you connect the software, only the following message appears and no further action is taken.

In other words, the anti-crash sensor remains active. Think of it as the Emergency button being held down.

Even if you turn the power off and on again and restart the software, the anti-crash sensor remains active and the printer won’t proceed.

You can try to move the head carriage manually, but the captop is raised and engaged with the head carriage, making it impossible to move it manually.

If I try to force it to move, I feel like my head is going to break…

II. Solve _When Anti crash sensor is jammed in the Captop

1. How to manually lower the capping station _When Anti crash sensor is jammed in the Captop

To release the anti crash sensor, simply lower the capping station.

Manual movement is not possible while the power is on. Therefore, with the main switch on the back of the printer turned off,

turn the circle in the photo below clockwise to manually lower the entire capping station.

The procedure is as follows:

• ARTJET SW OFF
• Touch panel “Power” button OFF
• Main switch OFF on the rear right side of the printer
• Turn the capping station motor clockwise to lower the capping station.

One thing to note is that if the capping station is lowered too far, the height may exceed the critical threshold, causing errors in capping station operation during initialization.

Stop lowering the capping station when the head carriage reaches a level where it can be manually moved.

2. Release the anti crash sensor bar again _When Anti crash sensor is jammed in the Captop

To ensure that the Anti crash sensor bars are properly released, raise and lower both bars by hand.

Occasionally, Anti crash sensor bar may not be released properly, resulting in the same error message. In this case, please also perform the following steps.
